Pretty pastels and blooming florals are only the start.
I'm so happy because it finally feels like spring around here! The birds are literally chirping and the weather is slowly getting warmer, so of course, I am all about setting a pretty table and today I’m sharing 8 tips to set a beautiful spring table with you all!
Spring means embracing the charm of pastel colour palettes, alfresco settings, and overflowing florals. Put all of these elements together and you get a tablescape that can only mean that warm/outdoor weather is upon us.
Im sharing my top 3 tips to build a nice Spring Table. Use these 3 base elements to create the perfect canvas and build upon your magical tablescape.
1.- Decide on your palette
Pastels are always gorgeous for Spring! *Obviously* I always start with my tablecloth as base and inspiration for the look of the table. In this case, I decided to have fun with the Boreal Tablecloth which has some beautiful watercolour florals and a pretty pastel blue tone. I picked flowers accordingly for a fresh Spring palette.
2.- Pick your tableware
One simple way to create a cohesive look on a table, is to keep the basic elements simple, and keep the pop of colour for flowers, other decor and napkins. Metal flatware will add the final shiny touch!
3.- Floral Centrepiece
Spring is synonym of beginnings, blooming flowers and greenery. So a floral arrangement is a MUST. Pick flowers that go well with the palette you have chosen. Keep the colours similar in tone for a whimsical effect. Pro tip: Keep the arrangements low so people at the table are able to see each other.
And that's it! Add ons will add the final touches to your table, but you won't need much. Here are some additions you can consider:
- paper or fabric napkins
- napkin rings
- extra coloured glasses
- name place settings or printed menus
- Spring themed decor such as: butterflies, bunnies
Here's my basic Spring Boreal tablescape, which looks beautiful even without any extra elements!
